Best Western Plus Lido Hotel

*The hotel with a built-in night-club* After a long drive from Cluj-Napoca, we arrived at the front desk of this hotel hoping we would find a parking spot. We had to park on the street nearby. After a very long wait, we checked-in. The front desk process was very very slow. There was mix-up with the reservations for the 3 customers in front of us, the receptionist offered them 2 rooms and the possibility to self-clean the third room together with the customers, and self changing the bed sheets. The customers looked exhausted and they accepted the offer :))) The room was hot for my standards, the air conditioning was not providing cool air at all, the beds were not confy (i could feel the bed springs against my ribbs). The main issue of this hotel is that they have a non-advertised built-in disco/night-club! The music was so loud that the furniture was vibrating, the bass from the club was too loud, and they kept it to the max until 3AM in the morning! Sleep quality - close to none Food quality - poor Hotel quality - low and very expensive for what they offer

Hotel Lido is great for your next Business Trip to Timisoara. Continental and other companies are in walking distance, so you can avoid the daily traffic jams. Breakfast is continental style and ok - not the Highlight, but a breakfast. Rooms are nice especially the recently renovated Suites offer now showers in "western" style with easy entrance. Rooms are clean and cleaned every day. There is not yet an Option to opt-out (safe cleaning, safe towels washing) and e.g. redeem a drink on the Bar... maybe next time? Seen this on several other BW Hotels recently. Last but not least: a warm welcome by female receptionist is on the Pro side and then on the Con side some male receptionist, that even on 10th stay asks for billing address, just to bill a night too less, rewrite the bill again due to wrong data ... There is, as always, the time to be better every day and every next stay.

I was given a room on a 2nd floor... but in the older side of the building. To go there, i had to take the elevator to the 1st floor, walk to a farther older building and climb the stairs. This is not difficult if you have no luggage. But if you do, its very inconvenient. The lady employee was very apologetic and tried to help and help me carry my luggages, but there were several guests.

Room i have stayed is spacious and clean. Food is good. But i had a bad experience, even with very low temperatures they never turned ON heater for hotel. I have complained many days, reception guys were saying management is not ready to turn ON heater and after many days of complaints from many people, finally they turned it ON. I feel hotel management doesn't value much the satisfaction of customers.
